Milestone 7200 Miles

Well new back tyre and my first MOT in a decade.  I have kept a new bike long enough to get it through an MOT, and why not, brilliant bike.  This is just the begining of a long long ownership.

6957 Miles

New Pads, MOT in June, amazing machine that is going to take me to my first MOT in a very long time,  Waiting to do the oil change and will need to fit a new rear tyre.

Friday 25 January 2013

A lot has changed, not only do I have the new Thruxton in the Garage with an amazing set of new pipes but i have also got rid of the VFR1200 and replaced it with a new 2012 Fireblade.  How much better can it be apart from the fact it is now winter an neither is seeing any use.  Never mind though in a few more months the fun will begin.

However the Pan is still going strong and approaching 7000 miles, I need to sort out an oil and filter change but I have been using it steadily apart from the last few weeks because of snow.

This is a brilliant machine that has surprised me an is probably the best bike I have used or owned.

6500 miles

New front tyre fitted and then the trip own south was brilliant, Easingwold, Nottingham, Risca, then back to Easingwold and then home.  About a 1000 miles, over 50 mpg, No problems with the bike, comfort, great capacity for luggage.  The bike had been nothing but brilliant from the day I bought it.  Its been of the road for a month as the road tax ran out and i decided to run that month on the VFR.  But it is back on the road tomorrow for it's winter use.  It is great to bring it back into service as it is just so easy to live with.  It is also due an MOT next year.  Two bikes I will have owned long enough for MOTS.  Two brilliant bikes I am a lucky man and a new Triumph Thruxton will be in my garage next weekend.  Happy days Indeed.

5200 miles

Run to two wheels, some new gear for Eileen, Run up to Anstruther for Fish Tea but to busy, so run back.  First time in a while Eileen has joined me but it was a very nice day out and she found her new gear comfy.  Big trip in August, down south.  Can't wait.

5010 miles

Another milestone, 5000 miles, 22 months of ownership and it has been nothing but perfection.  Not a single issue and I have even managed to keep the front tyre going.  It is a brilliant bike, everyday commuting, day trips, long tours it does it all.

I did my first Pan clan run of the year, a May run that involved rain, snow and hailstones, testament to this bike, I still had a great day out.

We hopefully have a long trip to England and Wales planned for August.

Great machine.  One of Honda's finest.

Its life for me 4800 miles

Well the wee cbf traded in and the R1 in the garage I have been splitting my daily commute between the VFR and the Pan.

A Pan for life, simply nothing negative that i can say, the bike has been in my hands for 22 months now, 22 months and nearly 5000 miles and i can't think of a tenth of one that has not been magic..  This from a bike I never thought I would own.  I thought it would be the Ideal machine for me and Eileen to enjoy life on two wheels but it has become so much more for me.

Just trying to squeeze what i can out of the front tyre, no issues, just gets on with it in such a stately manner.
